Artist Statement

I find excitement in the intense objects and moments that most people shy away from. What others may consider grotesque - feces, garbage, and bones - is incredibly interesting, unique and quite humorous to me. By highlighting mundane objects which are often ignored out of fear I hope to shock, confront, and confuse the viewer. I embrace nonconformity in order to question and defy the standards of fine art. When we stop to observe the foul familiar we can find something beautiful.
